CVD initiative shortlisted for HSJ Digital Awards
Posted: 22nd March 2024
PocDoc, along with Health Innovation North East North Cumbria, Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber and two ICSs in the North have been shortlisted for the Population Health through Digital award at this year’s HSJ Digital Awards.
The Bridging the CVD Screening Gap project scales up cardiovascular disease (CVD) screening across the North in primary and secondary prevention with a digital-first approach significantly impacting community health.
PocDoc identifies people at risk of heart attacks and strokes using a new, innovative finger prick blood test. This allows testing for lipids testing to move out of GP surgeries, dramatically increasing access to testing which in turn aims to prevent more people from developing CVD.
The initiative is a great example of partnership working as the award recognises PocDoc along with North East and North Cumbria ICS, Health Innovation North East and North Cumbria, West Yorkshire ICS, and Health Innovation Yorkshire & Humber.
The awards ceremony will take place on 6 June 2024.
